On Wednesday, July 11th, the Digital Communications team began migrating a large portion of UMW websites. Starting on the 11th, site managers will not be able to make changes on these websites until the sites are up and running on their new servers. We expected full service to be restored by July 18th, but due to technical issues, the DOWNTIME IS EXTENDING THROUGH 12 NOON ON MONDAY, July 23rd.
Will my site be affected? Not all UMW sites will be affected by the migration. In general, your site is more likely to be affected if the URL contains a subdomain. For example, http://department.umw.edu/ is more likely to be affected, while http://www.umw.edu/department/ is not.
UMW Blogs, Domains of One's Own, and other sites hosted outside of our University web hosts will not be affected.
